I am very fortunate to be able to stay home with our 2 beautiful daughters. It is work but I love it & it is truly rewarding at the end of the day.
I enjoy decorating, thrift shopping, dumpster diving, going to auctions, finding great finds :) I love to redo furniture & find unique items for our home. I am finding that painting & redoing furniture gives the opportunity to let some of the daily stresses to flow on away.
We recently (June 15, 2012) lost our newly purchased home to a devastating fire. You can read all about that under The Ridge Road Rebuild.
I started this blog to journal our daily life as we began the rebuilding process. I have let it guide me to writing & sharing more than just the rebuild. I am hopeful one day my girls can look back & see the strength that through our family & friends we rebuilt bigger & better. We were able to maintain & become a stronger family by seeing the love we have for one another. We were each others spine when we felt we would crumble!
